Pritzat Derech: Hebrew for All, a progam of Mayberg Foundation partner Hebrew at the Center, aims to make Hebrew instruction accessible to students with language-based learning differences. Its recent session for Greater Washington educators—attended by JEIC Managing Director Sharon Freundel on behalf of the Mayberg Foundation—focused on lesson planning and strategies to support neurodiverse learners.

Lay leaders and funders from Atlanta’s Jewish day schools gathered at an event hosted by Manette and Louis Mayberg and Helen and David Zalik at Sara and Ross Kogon’s home. The evening fostered connections and shared visions for strengthening Jewish education in Atlanta across the denominational spectrum, setting the stage for JEIC’s 2026 Innovators Retreat in Atlanta this April.

Jewish Funders Network (JFN) has appointed Amy Schlussel as program manager for the new Jewish Day School Affinity Group, a group formed through the collaborative efforts of the Mayberg Foundation and six other funders, and has expanded to 13 partners committed to advancing the Jewish day school education field.

The Mayberg Foundation mourns the sudden and shocking loss of Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union (OU) and rabbi emeritus of Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion in Baltimore. His leadership, dedication, and good counsel shaped numerous collaborative initiatives and touched the lives of many in our community and beyond.
