Mayberg Foundation Welcomes Zohar Hahn Brafman as Program Officer to Manage Israel Grantmaking and Grantee Partnerships
/Zohar Hahn Brafman recently joined the Mayberg Foundation team as a program officer, bringing 14 years of professional and volunteer experience in organizational consulting, community development, and partnership-building. As a program officer, Zohar plays a key role in managing a portfolio of Israel-based grantee partnerships and supporting the foundation’s grantmaking process. In this capacity, she serves as the primary liaison between the foundation and these grantees, oversees Israel Committee engagement, and ensures the foundation board has the timely, relevant information it needs to make informed decisions about grant renewals and new funding opportunities.
Zohar holds a master’s degree in organizational consulting and development. She has led interdisciplinary municipal teams to develop and implement innovative urban solutions, managed partnerships with government ministries and international partners, and guided national programs aimed at strengthening Jewish identity and community ties in Israel and the Diaspora.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by work that brings people together—through diversity, connection, and human-centered innovation," she said. "Joining the Mayberg Foundation feels like a natural place to advance that vision within the broader Jewish community. I’m grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to the work we’ll do together.”
“With the hiring of Zohar, we are simultaneously building our ground team in Israel and rounding out our entire Foundation team with her terrific expertise and insightful perspectives,” said Mayberg Foundation Executive Director Todd Sukol. “We are fortunate to be adding such a quality professional to our ranks, and are looking forward to what I believe will be important contributions to refining our strategy in Israel and increasing our impact globally.”
