Rising Trustee David Mayberg joined 300 Jewish leaders in Minneapolis for JFNA's National Young Leadership Cabinet Retreat, featuring sessions on philanthropy, Israel, and global Jewry — here's what he took away from it.

On August 13th, MyZuzah joined the housewarming for a new Lone Soldier Center home in Tel Aviv, part of its ongoing Israel Pilot bringing mezuzah installations to those rebuilding after trauma. The new residence gives 28 lone soldiers — from countries including France, the U.S., Australia, and South Africa — a place to call home while serving far from their families. Following speeches from Lone Soldier Center CEO Leora Rubinstein and others, the group affixed mezuzot throughout the home, with board member Efrayim Cohen given the honor of putting one up in memory of his grandson, a soldier killed in combat last year.

Colleagues from across the Jewish foundation world joined the Mayberg Foundation team for Navigating Grantmaking Through a Torah Lens, a three-part learning series led by Rabbi Yehuda Chanales of Lifnai Vlifnim. Using Torah texts and Lifnai Vlifnim's reflective learning framework, participants explored loneliness, boundaries, and hope in the work of grantmaking — walking away with fresh perspective and a shared sense of purpose.

The Mayberg Foundation is joining Israel's Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, UnitEd, The Jerusalem Post, and Herzog College in launching the Global Jewish Teachers Award, a new initiative honoring up to seven outstanding Jewish educators worldwide. Manette will serve on the international judging panel alongside leaders from Hebrew University and Yeshiva University, chaired by Minister Amichai Chikli.

At Israel on Campus Coalition’s (ICC) National Leadership Summit (August 2-4) in Washington, DC, Mayberg Foundation Senior Program Officer Naftali Ejdelman joined 1,300+ students, faculty, and field professionals for sessions on Middle East security, campus antisemitism, and digital advocacy—lessons he will use to help hone the Foundation's advocacy portfolio strategy.
