On October 7, Rising Trustees Yacova Mayberg Margolis and Chai Margolis joined Program Officer, Israel Zohar Hahn-Brafman for Leket Live, a field tour that followed rescued food from pickup all the way to the plate of student’s in need. Eight Jewish educators from Argentina, France, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States received the first Global Jewish Teachers Award at a gala in Jerusalem, honoring their work strengthening Jewish identity and students' connection to Israel. The award is a joint initiative of the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, The Jerusalem Post, UnitEd, the World Zionist Organization, and Herzog College, and the Mayberg Foundation was proud to support each honoree with a cash prize from its Jewish Educator Impact Fund.
