EMET's recent Rays of Light in the Darkness 2025 Awards Dinner honored several courageous leaders who advocate for Israel despite political risks. Honorees included Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel (Michael) Leiter*, Hungarian Ambassador Szabolcs Takács, U.S. Senator John Fetterman, Leo Terrell of the DOJ’s Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism, and Anila Ali, a Muslim leader and Zionist advocate.
The event, attended by Mayberg Foundation Trustee Louis Mayberg, Director of Marketing and Communications Rina Schiff, and several friends of the foundation, celebrated the honorees’ dedication to strengthening U.S.-Israel relations, combating anti-Semitism, and promoting security and truth. EMET is a partner of the Mayberg Foundation, which supports organizations advancing Jewish resilience, security, and informed public discourse—an effort that has gained urgency since October 7.
