Overcoming significant security and logistical challenges in Tel Aviv, JLIC TLV and its dedicated volunteers successfully distributed hundreds of Purim gift packages to Holocaust survivors, families of hostages, and the homeless.

The JFN Day School Affinity Group, supported by the Mayberg Foundation and 12 other funders, will officially launch at next week’s JFN conference to coordinate national philanthropic support, a milestone further detailed in a recent eJewish Philanthropy op-ed by Yossi Prager.

The Mayberg Foundation’s Israel Committee gathered one month ago for its first multi-day summit in Israel—a milestone that marks not just a new phase of philanthropic engagement, but the start of a collective learning journey. NCSY recently hosted its Managers Accelerator 2026 retreat in New York City, bringing regional leaders together for hands-on learning and mentorship. This event advanced the Mayberg Foundation’s Jewish Outreach Professional Development pilot, which began in 2024. The program aims to strengthen Jewish outreach by fostering professional growth and collaboration.

MyZuzah has launched a new initiative to place 3,000 mezuzahs in the homes of Jewish college students across North America. In partnership with Mezuz.us, the program is starting with a 500-mezuzah pilot, aiming to boost Jewish pride, visibility, and engagement on campus—especially at a time when students are looking for connection and a greater sense of security.

Pritzat Derech: Hebrew for All, a progam of Mayberg Foundation partner Hebrew at the Center, aims to make Hebrew instruction accessible to students with language-based learning differences. Its recent session for Greater Washington educators—attended by JEIC Managing Director Sharon Freundel on behalf of the Mayberg Foundation—focused on lesson planning and strategies to support neurodiverse learners.

At the recent IAC National Summit, the largest pro-Israel gathering in the U.S., Mayberg Foundation Executive Director Todd Sukol joined hundreds of thought leaders, innovators, funders, and potential Mayberg Foundation grantees, as well as several of our current partners, two days of learning, relationship building, and solidarity with Israel.

Lay leaders and funders from Atlanta’s Jewish day schools gathered at an event hosted by Manette and Louis Mayberg and Helen and David Zalik at Sara and Ross Kogon’s home. The evening fostered connections and shared visions for strengthening Jewish education in Atlanta across the denominational spectrum, setting the stage for JEIC’s 2026 Innovators Retreat in Atlanta this April.

Jewish Funders Network (JFN) has appointed Amy Schlussel as program manager for the new Jewish Day School Affinity Group, a group formed through the collaborative efforts of the Mayberg Foundation and six other funders, and has expanded to 13 partners committed to advancing the Jewish day school education field.

Torgow's emphatic statement echoed throughout the two and a half day conference, repeated by author Sarah Hurwitz, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, author and podcaster Dan Senor, among many others.
