Weissman argues that for the next generation to truly "own" their story, the communal focus must shift from temporary "identity experiences" toward deep, structured Jewish literacy.
This vision—moving young Jews from "passive inheritors to active authors"—is a driving force behind Mayberg Foundation’s ongoing partnership with ODM. Our current three-year grant supports this effort through the expansion of Judaism Unpacked, a channel dedicated to providing the historical and textual knowledge Weissman identifies as essential to ensure the next generation possesses the "literacy and the grit" required to sustain and grow their heritage.
