MyZuzah Expands Global Mezuzah Distribution Efforts with New Campaign and Strategic Leadership Search
/

MyZuzah, a partner of the Mayberg Foundation, is expanding its reach and capacity to advance its bold vision of placing a mezuzah on the front door of every Jewish home worldwide. With 22,000 mezuzahs already distributed, the organization has launched a major fundraising campaign to more than double that number, aiming to reach 50,000 Jewish homes in the near term. A recent $110,000 gift from an anonymous donor is accelerating this growth through a new college campus initiative, which aims to distribute 3,000 mezuzahs to students looking to express and develop their Jewish identity in their first independent living spaces. Applications will be available soon.
The 50K Campaign is being led by a dedicated Campaign Cabinet, which recently convened for its inaugural meeting to strategize on building strategic partnerships and securing additional donors. Members include Mayberg Foundation Trustee and MyZuzah Founder Manette Mayberg; Mayberg Foundation Executive Director Todd Sukol; Living Links Managing Director Mollie Bowman; Bay Harbor Islands City Council member and real estate professional Ezzy Rappaport; and Oklahoma Israel Exchange (OKIE) Executive Director Edie Roodman. “Pride in Jewish identity is more important than ever, and the mezuzah can serve as a powerful tool to inspire that pride and build allies at a critical moment,” says CEO Rachel Berezin.
To further propel the organization's growth and impact, MyZuzah is seeking a visionary Director of Strategic Partnerships. This role will steward our growing partner portfolio, design dynamic peer learning communities, advance relationship-based fundraising, and work with partners to inspire programs that use the mezuzah as a powerful educational and spiritual tool. Key initiatives may include collaborating with major national partners and niche communities like victims of domestic violence, where the mezuzah symbolizes reclaiming home and identity. Military families who in transient times feel connected to the Jewish community through the mezuzah, as well as new and innovative milestone moments where the mezuzah marks a major lifecycle moment. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a national movement that strengthens Jewish identity, fosters community, and makes a lasting impact.
“We are at a pivotal moment for Jewish life globally, and the mezuzah offers an entry point that is simple yet deeply profound,” Berezin reflects. “By scaling our efforts—whether through expanding distribution, building new partnerships, or inspiring the development of innovative educational experiences—we want to make Jewish identity visible, accessible, and meaningful in every home and community.”
