Mayberg Foundation Leadership Celebrate Exemplary Jewish Educators at Covenant Foundation Awards

Mayberg Foundation Executive Director Todd Sukol and Senior Advisor for Education Grants and Programs Rachel Abrahams attended The Covenant Foundation's annual Covenant Awards dinner and Pomegranate Awards breakfast to celebrate and honor exceptional Jewish educators.
The Covenant Award recognizes the impact three Jewish educators have made on Jewish life through their innovative educational practices and models, and received a prize of $50,000 and an additional $10,000 for his or her home institution. This year's recipients are Arah Atkins, director of Camp Kadimah; Rabbi Dianne Cohler-Esses, rabbi and director of Lifelong Learning, Romemu; and Rabbi Micah Lapidus, director of Jewish and Hebrew studies and school rabbi, The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy in Atlanta, GA.
Pomegranate award winners
The Pomegranate Award recognizes emerging leaders in the field of Jewish education by encouraging them in their pursuits and offering the resources and connections necessary to accelerate their development, deepen their self-awareness, and amplify their impact on the field. Among the 2025 recipients are: Rabbi Tali Adler, faculty member at The Hadar Institute and Tali Cohen Carrus, senior director of programs at Gateways: Access to Jewish Education. Both Hadar and Gateways are Mayberg Foundation partner organizations.
