Mayberg Foundation's Amanda Mizrahi to Help Guide New Kerem Initiative for Jewish Grantmaking Professionals

We are proud to share that Amanda Mizrahi, managing director of the Mayberg Foundation, has been invited to join the Steering Committee of Kerem. Kerem is a professional development and learning initiative for grantmaking professionals in Jewish philanthropy, run in partnership with Jewish Funders Network and Third Plateau Social Impact Strategies. The invitation reflects the broad recognition Amanda has earned among her peers in the Jewish philanthropic community as a thoughtful and skilled leader in foundation management, including her work spearheading the Mayberg Foundation's pilot initiative supporting career growth for Jewish outreach professionals.

As a member of this 8-10 person Steering Committee, Amanda will join other grantmaking experts from across the country who will serve as the program's "brain trust," helping to shape Kerem's curriculum, identify target participants, and guide faculty outreach so that the program delivers meaningful learning and connection for professionals across the field. Over her 12-month term, Amanda will work closely with fellow committee members and the Third Plateau team to advise on retreat goals, themes, and program design, while also serving as an ambassador for Kerem within her own professional network. In recognition of this contribution of time and expertise, Kerem will make a donation in Amanda's honor to an organization of her choosing. Her involvement underscores both her standing as a respected voice in Jewish grantmaking and her ongoing commitment to strengthening the broader philanthropic community through mentorship, collaboration, and shared learning.

"Our field is stronger when we invest in the people doing this work," Amanda said. "I've seen firsthand, through our work supporting Jewish outreach professionals, how much it matters to give people a real career path with room to grow. I'm looking forward to bringing that same spirit to Kerem and helping build a space where grantmaking professionals can do the same."
