Mayberg Foundation Celebrates Jewish Outreach and Leadership at Olami’s Annual Gala

Mayberg Foundation program officers Rachel Abrahams and Naftali Ejdelman attended The Promise, the annual gala dinner of our partner, Olami, a participant in the Mayberg Foundation’s Jewish Outreach Professional Development initiative. The event gathered leaders in Jewish philanthropy to support Olami's global outreach across 28 countries and over 300 campuses.

Guest of honor Mike Leven, founder of the Jewish Future Promise—signed by the Maybergs—was celebrated alongside the keynote speaker, bestselling author staunch Israel advocate Douglas Murray. Reflecting post-October 7 realities, the program focused heavily on campus antisemitism.

Leven shared personal memories of the founding of the State of Israel. Murray then led a moving Q&A with college students. This shift towards a focus on Zionism and combatting antisemitism highlights how Olami’s outreach now deeply intersects with Jewish education and Israel advocacy. The gala’s program underscored the Foundation’s broader philosophy: investing directly in outreach professionals is the key to inspiring and strengthening the Jewish community.
