Amatz Initiative Conference Empowers Girls' School Leaders to Create Collaborative Cultures
/Amatz Initiative, a Mayberg Foundation partner, convened 50 school leaders at its annual winter conference before Passover, equipping them with fresh insight and renewed determination to elevate girls’ education across yeshiva and Chasidic communities. The conference focused on building strong, collaborative school cultures.
Through dynamic workshops, engaging lectures, and high-energy team-building, principals explored how to work more closely with students and parents, amplify their voices, and authentically engage with their perspectives. Participants left not only inspired, but better prepared to lead with clarity, collaboration, and purpose.
Amatz also spotlighted the Sheish Mitzvos Temidios (Six Constant Commandments) curriculum, supported by the Mayberg Foundation and rooted in a God-centered and student-centered approach. Celebrated educator Mrs. Esther Blumenberg, who has implemented the curriculum for the past two years, led an engaging, hands-on project-based learning (PBL) session centered on Lo Taturu Acharei Levavchem (“Do not stray after your hearts”). Through the experience, principals gained a deeper understanding of PBL and constructivist learning, culminating in their own project presentations—an energizing and meaningful highlight of the conference.
Following the session, many principals expressed strong interest in adopting the curriculum. In response, Amatz is expanding its support by offering in-person training in PBL and constructivist methods to strengthen implementation and bring the curriculum to life in more classrooms.
