Manette and Louis Mayberg Among National Jewish Leaders for Impactful Orthodox Union (OU) Advocacy Mission in Washington

Manette and Louis Mayberg were among the 120-plus Jewish leaders and Orthodox Union (OU) representatives who made the case for urgent action on antisemitism, support for Israel, and school choice as part of the OU Advocacy Mission in Washington. Manette, now serving her second term as the Orthodox Union’s National Senior Vice President, and Louis joined the group for a packed program that included high-level meetings with senior Department of Justice officials, a Capitol Hill luncheon with lawmakers, and face-to-face advocacy with members of Congress from both sides of the aisle. Senator James Lankford (R-OK) was honored at the mission’s opening dinner for his steadfast commitment to combating antisemitism, and speakers throughout the day stressed the importance of protecting Jewish communities, defending religious liberty, and maintaining strong federal support for security and civil rights.

The Mission marked a milestone as the OU became the first national Jewish group to meet with top DOJ officials on antisemitism. The mission also featured a luncheon with senators, representatives, and national press members, as well as passionate bipartisan calls to support Israel and the Jewish community. The day closed with advocacy meetings with more than a dozen lawmakers, pressing for action and accountability at every step.
