Grantee client featured in The Jerusalem Post

Rabbi Steven Burg, CEO of Aish (a Grantee Client of the Mayberg Foundation) and a member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors, was recently published in The Jerusalem Post. His article, “Why we need to care about the Jewish Agency” maintains, “Much of the Jewish world doesn’t fully understand the critical role the Jewish Agency plays in programs like Birthright and Jewish education initiatives; in the Diaspora-Israel relationship, sending shlichim from Israel to countries around the world; immigrant absorption, social services, and more within Israel.”

He explains that this upcoming chairman election is crucial for world Jewry, and he or she will need to understand that “if we want today’s younger generation to have a relationship with Israel and world Jewry, we need them to want to identify as Jews in the first place. And if we want them to engage with Judaism on any level, then the global Jewish community will need a reboot.”
