Retreat focuses on improving Jewish education

The Jewish Education Innovation Challenge recently hosted its 2016 Innovators Retreat at the Ritz Carlton in Bal Harbour as a platform for motivating Jewish day schools and their stakeholders to shift approaches and embrace new ideas.

During this day-long retreat, the JEIC, sponsored by the Mayberg Family Foundation, convened some of the country's top Jewish education experts and leading philanthropic partners to discuss solutions for repairing the Jewish day school system in America. It also reviewed Jewish day school finalist presentations eligible to be awarded with $50,000 grants, to support projects that present an opportunity to improve the Jewish educational experience and deliver a long-term impact. Representatives from each of the three schools provided presentations on their educational proposals to leaders in education, philanthropic funders and JEIC judges.
